As the growing passion for pursuing less exploited languages of contemporary music in recent years has led to a trend of microtonal music, with many avid fans extending beyond contemporary or classical music community, and since a majority of ENMT’s events take place abroad, Ensemble for New Music Tallinn takes its duty to present series of events in Tallinn dedicated to microtonal music and the repertoire of a newly invented instrument of glissando flute.
Ensemble for New Music Tallinn has been developed into a specialized unit to execute just the kind of special intrication and technical gymnastics required for repertoire of microtonal and experimental contemporary music.
The events include 4 concerts and a number of masterclasses and workshops by guest artist and composers Prof. Klaus Lang, Dror Feiler, Erik Drescher and Juho Laitinen.
Mr. Drescher, a renown German virtuoso is one of the world’s foremost promoters and curators of glissando-headjoint flute. The current programs include pieces that are commissioned for ENMT and Erik Drescher.
